Trees for the city too
The fruit-tree campaign belongs to the villages, but Aranya's volunteers have planted thousands of trees in Bareilly city as well, from the city centre to the university campus.

On 21 December 2014 Aranya's young volunteers spent a winter morning planting trees in the heart of Bareilly city, with spades, buckets and saplings carried in by hand. On 14 August 2015, the eve of Independence Day, they planted again on the campus of MJP Rohilkhand University, where the Foundation's Indradhanush evening school had begun.
Urban planting has stayed a small, steady part of Aranya's work alongside the village campaign: a few thousand trees in parks, campuses and along roads, planted by volunteers who then take turns to water them through the first summer.
