Students in the villages
From IIT Roorkee in 2015 to IIT Delhi in 2017, college students have spent their holidays and weekends in the Foundation's villages.

Some of the Foundation's most energetic volunteers arrive with backpacks. On 9 January 2015, students of IIT Roorkee came to Bareilly for a camp in the villages, and in 2015 students of IIT Delhi helped plant fruit trees in Jagdishpur village, Sonipat. On 28 December 2017 a group from IIT Delhi spent time with the Foundation's volunteers and the village children.
In early 2018, small teams of student volunteers travelled to a village near Bareilly at weekends. Their reports read like field diaries: teaching children about hygiene and trimming their nails, levelling the school playground with shramdaan, playing cricket with the older boys, lending books from the village library, starting coaching for classes 6 to 8, and helping run a medical camp with a woman doctor, where women who looked weak were given a protein supplement. Each report ended with honest notes on what had not worked and what to try next week.
On 22 March 2018 Gramya opened a Shiksha Sahayata Kendra, an education support centre with coaching in mathematics, science and English for children of classes 6, 7 and 8.
