Five camps, 25,000 fruit saplings: the 2024 Mathura drive
Between 28 July and 18 August 2024, farmers from 78 villages of Mathura district each took home ten fruit saplings.

The 2024 Vriksh Mitra–Gram Mitra Abhiyan brought distribution camps to villages across Mathura district, with the support of K D Medical College, Hospital & Research Center.
Before each camp our surveyors visited the surrounding villages and registered interested farmers — 3,818 of them across 78 villages for the five camps described here. At Chhatikara, Barsana, Raya Road, Mant and Nagla Akkha, farmers were welcomed by local doctors, teachers, forest and horticulture officers and community leaders, and each took home ten saplings: L-49 guava, Kandhari pomegranate, grafted lemon, Pratapgarh amla and mulberry.
Together the five camps distributed 25,000 fruit saplings. Our field team now follows up on the trees through geo-tagged surveys.
