Maharana Pratap Chatravas is built
Construction of a hostel for Gadhiya Lohar children was completed in 2025, and GAIL is supporting a 15 kW solar power system so that children can move in.

Many of the children we support through Indradhanush go home after school to tents with no space or quiet to study. When the project began in 2014, families were being moved on every two or three months; we arranged a vehicle to follow the children to school, and promised them a permanent hostel one day. To keep that promise we set out to build the Maharana Pratap Chatravas on a one-acre plot at Village Naugava Jagir, on the Pilibhit Road in Bareilly.
By October 2022 the building was 70% complete; by August 2024, 90%. Built entirely with the support of our donors, construction was completed in 2025 and the plaque was unveiled. The hostel has two residential halls, a library, a computer room, a kitchen, an office, a warden's room and two multipurpose rooms, with space for more than 40 children.
The campus has no grid electricity connection yet. GAIL (India) Limited is supporting a 15 kW rooftop solar power system under its CSR programme, which will power the lights, fans, water pump, kitchen and computer room and allow the first children to move in.
