2 August 2015: a foundation stone for the hostel
The bhoomi poojan of the hostel for Gadhiya Lohar children was performed on the same day the 2015 tree-planting season opened in Bareilly.

When Indradhanush began working with Gadhiya Lohar families in 2014, the Foundation promised the children a hostel of their own one day — "where there is a will, there is a way", as our volunteers kept saying. On 2 August 2015 that promise took its first concrete step.
On the Foundation's plot near Rithora, on the Pilibhit Road outside Bareilly, the bhoomi poojan of the hostel was performed in the presence of Dr Krishna Gopal. The same programme opened the year's Vriksh Mitra–Gram Mitra Abhiyan in Bareilly: guests planted fruit trees on the site, and tractors decorated with the campaign's banner set off for the villages with their loads of saplings.
The hostel rose slowly, funded entirely by donors. It was 70% complete in 2022, 90% complete in 2024 and finished in 2025 as the Maharana Pratap Chatravas.
