Vriksh Mitra–Gram Mitra Abhiyan 2026, Mathura
The fifteenth year of the campaign, supported by GLA University, Mathura: thirteen camps from 12 July to 4 October 2026, each putting 4,000 fruit saplings into farmers' hands — 52,000 in all.

The 2026 drive is the fifteenth year of the Vriksh Mitra–Gram Mitra Abhiyan, and it has returned to Mathura district, where the campaign has worked almost every year since 2018. Months before the first camp, volunteers went village to village to survey where trees could be planted, how many each family could take, which species suit the soil and who would look after them.
The packet
Every registered farmer receives ten saplings: two each of jamun, pomegranate, lemon, guava and mulberry. Farmers enter on the registration card issued during the survey; those who could not reach the programme collect their packets afterwards on the same card. Each host school or temple is given a packet for its own campus.
