In 2018–19 ONGC became the first corporate partner of the Vriksh Mitra–Gram Mitra Abhiyan. Two six-month projects ran side by side: 38,000 fruit saplings for 4,144 families in Bareilly and Kasganj districts (₹17.39 lakh), and 60,000 saplings for 5,650 families in Mathura district (₹20 lakh).

Impact

The trees have started bearing fruit, bringing better nutrition and extra income to the families, along with more green cover and protected soil in their villages.
