Vriksh Mitra–Gram Mitra Abhiyan 2016
1.17 lakh fruit saplings in Amethi, Mathura, Dehradun and Kasganj, with vegetable seeds for 5,000 families in Amethi.
In the 2016 monsoon the campaign distributed 1.17 lakh fruit saplings to rural families:
- Amethi: 64,000 to 68,000 saplings in 102 villages of the Dhammor, Haliyapur and Paritosh areas, including Jagdishpur and Tiloi
- Mathura: 24,000 saplings in 30 villages, mainly in Farah block
- Dehradun: 15,000 saplings in 20 villages
- Kasganj: 10,000 saplings in 30 villages, with a camp on 25 August 2016
On 20 September 2016, Union Minister Smt. Smriti Irani distributed fruit saplings with the Foundation at Haliyapur and Dhammor in Amethi. The same year, vegetable seed packets reached 5,000 families in about 100 villages of Amethi.
